You may recall Street Roots as the recipient of proceeds from one of our Spread The Love scarves. Street Roots is the organization that publishes a weekly newspaper that is a catalyst for social change, advocating for the homeless and providing them with positive income opportunities while addressing issues of homelessness and poverty. This week's issue features Jeremy Ebobisse, who uses his social media platform to advocate for social justice.
Street Roots is remodeling, and they need our help! If you are familiar with basic construction and/or painting, please join in. There will be great conversation, positive energy, a drive to create change, and awesome music!
This construction is crucial for Street Roots to put out their newspaper and best serve their vendors. They need need a minimum of 12 volunteers on both Saturday and Sunday. No previous experience as a Street Roots volunteer is necessary, and they will be working with Village Building Convergence to assign you tasks. Thank you in advance for pitching in!
